Jean-Jacques Burnel sucks

Feb. 23rd, 2006 | 03:53 pm
mood: aggravated aggravated
music: Some crappy french dude

I listen to kawaii-radio.com at work a lot. Like right now. It's currently making me quite angry by playing "You Won't See Me Coming" by Jean-Jacques Burnel. The reason why it makes me angry is twofold:

a) The dude is FRENCH, not Japanese.
b) It sounds exactly like the Soup Dragons. I was kinda okay with the Soup Dragons for a month 15 years ago. I am very not okay with them, or this Burnel character.

The Ninja, the Pinto, and Dan Marino

Feb. 21st, 2006 | 10:03 pm
mood: giddy giddy
music: sk8 punk 4ever

Whoa, I practically forgot I left this here.

I'm in a mood to play Internet tonight, so I've been getting belligerant on my SubGenius mailing list while listening to punkrock and playing online poker.

Online poker is the devil, you know. But I have fun, and I'm even net positive for the year, and it's nearly March! Maybe I'll post some of my poker adventures here. I am unstoppable in the face of retards, colluders, robots, and the occasional good opponent.

Other stuff in my life: I spent last week in San Jose (California, not the one in South America that has the Intel manufacturing plant) at a security conference where I was an invited speaker, which meant that the trip was free and I didn't have to work the booth. The downside was that it was in San Jose.

There was a lot of drinking. Then I came back, and the next day we went to go so My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult. Which was fab, and more drinking. The next day we ordered pizza, which of course lead to beer...

The point of this is, today I think is the first day in about a week I haven't been drinking. Which is really nice and relaxing and making me feel a little bit tipsy -- I guess that would explain the destructive Internet behavior tonight.

Happy Nude Year

Dec. 31st, 2005 | 10:57 pm

I snuck some pr0n today while the babies were sleeping, and immediately fell in love with my new girlfriend, Sydney Moon (link NSFW).

It's a minute until New Year's in Times Square. We just got back in from getting yelled at by the cops for shooting fireworks. They were right in shooing us away -- Anderson Cooper is far more exciting than nearly burning your face off.

Cheer and Loathing in Suburbia.

Dec. 29th, 2005 | 11:16 pm

Today we trundled the kids into the car and went to go see the Lightmare on 37th Street. It was tres cool, filled me with Xmas cheer (I am totally gay for Santa), and best of all, there are not one, not two, but three houses for sale on 37th! I'm sure the prices are astronomical, and it sure looks awful in, oh, August, but oh, it would be so bitchin awesome to move back into the city.

I really have come to loathe my own neighborhood. We're the only house for like 4 houses around that have any lights up at all, and these fuckers didn't even give out candy for Halloween. The terrorists have already won.

I thought that if I made a cute LJ page, I would get some.

I was sadly mistaken.

Damn.

Very first post

Dec. 28th, 2005 | 10:02 pm

This is my first LJ post. I mostly started an account to see what the story was with the technology cause i'm kinda getting into UI design as a hobby.

So, I guess now I need some friends.
